The team at Partners Coffee set a few goals during the website redesign and rebuild project: to simplify the discovery process during browsing, allow existing customers to easily re-order favorites, and provide an accessible, easy-to-use interface that allows users of all abilities to order coffee. After achieving these goals, functionalities like the ability to highlight specific coffees based on unique profiles or varieties, an enhanced blog experience, on-site quizzes for coffee matching & consumption calculation, and comprehensive coffee specs came next.
The design of the new website invokes the fun of coffee with an emphasis on approachability through the utilization of bright, contrasting colors, video, bold fonts, quotes from their team, and additional dynamic elements. Partners takes an iterative approach to their user experience and continues to develop, enhance, and launch new features as feedback and ideas are shared by customers and subscribers.
In conjunction with their website, Partners launched a companion mobile app in Q2 2024 that offers customers a similar experience to what can be found online, but with an expanded feature set that includes unique offerings achievable only with a native app. These included persistent user sessions, simplified order tracking, one-click subscription management, and direct access to instructional brew guides. The mobile app was crafted to be an extension of the Partners Coffee website with brand styles that were strictly adhered to as a method of ensuring continuity when switching between the two digital platforms. Both aforementioned projects were designed entirely in-house, without the use of external developers or designers.
The Partners Coffee team can quickly make adjustments and modifications as the need arises. Integrations and tooling for this project include Shopify, Okendo, Fuego, and Skio.
