One of the great things about multi-roaster cafes is that you get to try coffees from roasters all around the world. It’s about as close as you’re going to get to visiting the roaster, without having to leave the city limits. Unless, of course, that roaster comes to you. Which is exactly what Coffee Collective is doing. For one weekend, the renowned Copenhagen specialty coffee roaster is popping up at London’s Rosslyn Coffee and bringing the full Scandinavian experience.
Pop-up may not be the right word. This isn’t the roaster sending some coffees for Rosslyn to use, maybe with a few preferred recipes. It’s a full cafe takeover. Coffee Collective will be sending over a team to run the show, including co-founders and Klaus Thomsen and Casper Engel Rasmussen, the 2006 World Barista Champion 2008 World Cup Tasters Champion, respectively.
Along with serving some of their favorite coffees from this season, the Coffee Collective team will be serving up a classic Danish breakfast, the BMO bun, or bolle med ost, translating to bread roll with cheese. It combines Gammel Knas, an aged Danish cheese, with bread from London’s Forno Bakery and butter from the Estate Dairy.

It all takes place Saturday, August 29th and Sunday the 30th, from 8:00am to 3:00pm at Rosslyn’s London Wall location. No tickets or reservations are required. Just show up like you would to any other cafe. The only difference being this time your coffee will be made by two World Coffee Champions.
