The 2010 Honduras Cup of Excellence Auction set a record for the country’s program with #1 placing coffee “Don Amado”. The lot sold for a record of $22.05/lb, nearly doubling the second most expensive lot. Time’s Club for C-COOP took home “the Don”, along with major Asian auction players Hisashi Yamamoto (Unir Cofee) and Coffee Libre (S. Korea). This year’s auction also garnered the highest average price in Honduran COE history. Congratulations to all of the hard working producers, auction winners and COE coordinators for making it possible.
