April is just around the corner, yโ€™all. With January (almost) in the books, little ole February isnโ€™t going to put up much of a fight, and March, well March marches pretty fast. That means the London Coffee Festival, and with it Coffee Masters, is approaching at light speed. And you know what will be here even sooner? The application deadline to compete in the London Coffee Masters. But worry not your little head, you darling procrastinator, thereโ€™s still one week left to toss your name in the hat.

For those living under a destoner who may not be up to date on all the coffee competitions, Coffee Masters is a faced-paced, head-to-head, multi-disciplinary contest that brings in some of the best global coffee professionals to battle it out to be the one true Coffee Master. Over the course of the multi-day feats of strength, competitors will have their mettle tested in seven separate disciplines: cupping, brewing, latte art, the order challenge, the signature drink, espresso blending, and the origin challenge. And at the end of the marathon challenge, the last person standing will be crowned the champion, earning themselves a cool ยฃ5,000 in the process.

Sounds like a blast, no? To throw your name in the ring, all you have to do is fill out the questionnaire here and submit a one-to-two minute video showcasing your birthday-inspired signature beverage. We’ve already suggested a Sugarcubes-themed birthday drink, but maybe you’d prefer a Smiths-inspired Unhappy Birthday sig bev in honor of the recently enacted Brexit, which comes garnished with an actual piece of garbage, also known as a “Morrissey float.” Just trying to help out here, you’ve only got a week left to apply. If you need any additional help, let 2019 Coffee Masters champion Rob Clarijs give you a few tips.

For more information on the rules or to begin the application process, visit the Coffee Masters official website. All entries are due by Saturday, February 8th, so get on it!
