The 2025 World of Coffee Asia just wrapped up in Jakarta, Indonesia, crowning a new World Brewers Cup champion. This event featured an epic show floor full of new products and innovations, and—between breaks in the competition action—I checked out the latest and greatest in cool new gear from WOC Jakarta. Here’s just a few favorites from the show!
Harmony Cup by Origami x Ryan Wibawa

Drinking vessels that enhance the drinking experience have been a staple in the wine industry for decades, and there’s long been examples of this in coffee as well. Today one of the industry leaders in this field is Origami. Their newest product is a collaboration with Ryan Wibawa, who earned 3rd place in the 2024 World Brewers Cup Championship. The cup is intentionally designed with a bulging body and sloping mouth, which widens the liquid surface to enhance the aroma and flavor of the coffee. It also feels just right in your hands—not too heavy, not too light—and its smooth texture is believed to influence mouthfeel, making the coffee seem juicier.
I was fortunate to receive an introduction to the cup from Wibawa himself at his newly opened four-square-meter coffee shop, The Room, which I visited the day before World of Coffee Jakarta.
LeBrew RoastSee Fusion & RoastSee NEXT
Rolling back five years ago, the only options for roasters seeking roast color measurement were limited to a few names: RoastRite, Lighttells, or Tonino. These were quite an investment, not to mention they also required a significant amount of coffee to dial in.
Recently, however, more affordable options have begun surfacing in the market, coming from Chinese and Hong Kong companies like DiFluid and LeBrew. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you could even build one yourself for $100. I cannot say one is better than the other, but newer devices like the LeBrew RoastSee Fusion featured here represent an all-in-one solution for roasters. It includes not just a roast color analyzer, but also measures bean moisture content, density, and water activity—tools that were once hard to come by in a single unit.
Additionally, LeBrew is releasing a real-time agtron and crack analyzer called the RoastSee NEXT. From what I understand, it’s essentially a heat gun, but super responsive and tuned specifically for coffee, displaying Agtron readings instead of temperature.
Orea 01 Brewer
Just under a week after launching their no-bypass brewer Orea Z1 at the London Coffee Festival, Orea is bringing another dripper to market: the Orea 01. At first glance, it resembles the Orea V series, except that it’s completely transparent and features a totally open, bottomless base compared to its predecessors. Still made from the same high-quality Tritan plastic as some of their previous drippers, it feels lightweight yet premium in your hands. It’s truly dazzling and would certainly look great sittng on top of your favorite coffee server. I almost took one home myself, until I remembered the mountain of drippers I’ve already hoarded over the years.
According to Orea, the 01 is expected to have an international launch by May 26.
Loveramics x Mikael Jasin Tasting Cups
Continuing their series of collaborations with World Barista Champions over the years (remember last year’s series with Boram Um?), Hong Kong-based ceramics brand Loveramics brought another collection of tasting cups to World of Coffee Jakarta, this time collaborating with Mikael Jasin, the reigning World Barista Champion. The collection comes in three different sizes and three different colors: white, pink, and taupe.
According to Loveramics founder William Lee, pink was the most sought-after color during the show and sold out immediately (apparently, drinking from pink vessels actually makes your coffee taste sweeter—that’s what Dr. Fabiana Carvalho told us). White is designed to cater to the needs of coffee shops, which usually look for sleek, chic designs. Yet his personal favorite would probably be the taupe—it’s elegance, it’s timeless and would always look good in your home.
Mahlkönig X64SD Grinder

Mahlkönig quietly released a new grinder targeted at home and prosumer users at World of Coffee Jakarta. The “X” in the name refers to “all-around”—the grinder is capable of handling any brewing method, from espresso to filter brews to cold brew—and “SD” stands for “single dosing.” If I remember correctly, this is the first time Mahlkönig has ever released a grinder with 64mm burrs; the closest they’ve come before was 65mm in their K30/E65 lineup.
World of Coffee Jakarta Cups
No coffee event would be complete without a collection of commemorative cups to take home as keepsakes, a souvenir that says, “I was there,” and this even was no exception. Between competitions and Roasters Village tours, we snapped some photos of the cups, be it either lanyard cups, or cupping cups, with “World of Coffee Jakarta” tag labelled on it.
