The emergency landing of a United Airlines flight from Chicago to Germany at Pearson airport was apparently prompted by a pilot’s spilled coffee.
Flight 940 was carrying 241 passengers when communication and navigation equipment malfunctioned, prompting the flight crew to land just before 10 p.m. on Monday instead of flying over the Atlantic.
“I just want to tell you both good luck. We’re all counting on you.”
