Chef driven espresso drinks are the meaning, the moment, the message—they’re the future, and they are delicious. Have we got a compelling one in store for you today in the latest edition of On The Menu.
The Caffé, Mr. Espresso‘s flagship cafe in Oakland, California continues its epic chef collaboration signature drinks. President and co-founder Luigi Di Ruocco joined forces with Chef Juan Hormiga, Executive Chef at Oakland’s contemporary Colombian restaurant Parche to create their latest offering: “The Colococo Float.”
“When Chef Juan Hormiga was living and working as a chef in Cartagena, Colombia, he and his co-workers drank their coffee with coconut milk,” explains Di Ruocco, “this drink is both a nostalgic ode to Chef Juan’s time in Colombia and a contemporary take on a classic American ice cream float.”
The Colococo Float riffs on this with a coffee soda served over ice and topped with a dollop of homemade coconut whip.
The Colococo Float uses a house-made coffee soda using Mr. Espresso Colombia Dark Roast coffee. Get your hands on the Colococo Float before it goes bye-bye on September 28, 2024 at The Caffé in Oakland, California!
