Thriller Throwdown & Halloween Party 2026
Join us for another thriller of a Halloween party and latte art throwdown at Rebel Dog Coffee Co. East Hartford on Saturday, October 24.
In addition to the throwdown, we’ll be hosting a costume contest open to everyone in attendance, there will be music from DJ TNYRMS/CT Coffee Therapy, and there will be complementary food, as well as beer and wine available for purchase.
This is a community event open to the public, and we would love to see everyone there, whether you’re competing in the throwdown, dressing up for the costume contest, or just want to enjoy the party!
Proceeds from latte art throwdown registration fees will be split between prize winnings and donations supporting the rural health clinics in our coffee producing partners’ communities in Ayarza, Guatemala. Proceeds from general admission tickets will also be donated.
THROWDOWN DETAILS
Doors open at 5:30 PM, with competitors able to practice on the machine until the first round begins at 6:30 PM.
All competitors’ first pours will be into 6 oz Lino mugs generously donated by notNeutral, and all competitors will get to keep their 6 oz Lino mug!
There will be at least one oat milk round sponsored by Minor Figures–round TBD based on number of competitors!
Semifinal round pours will be into 3 oz notNeutral Pico espresso cups donated by Covoya Specialty Coffee, which competitors in that round will also get to take home!
Grand prizes include a share of the buy-in money, refurbished grinders from Mahlkönig Home, Barista Magazine subscriptions, and tons more from La Marzocco, Minor Figures, Covoya Specialty Coffee, notNeutral, and several local coffee companies!
