Ecuador Coffee Masters

November 14 @ 11:00 am - 8:00 pm
ecuador coffee masters sprudge calendar

What it is
Ecuador Coffee Masters is a coffee festival with national and international reach. It brings together competitions, knowledge and hands-on experiences to celebrate Ecuadorian talent. For one day, baristas, producers, roasters, brands and coffee professionals share the space with gastronomy, mixology, tourism, confectionery and chocolate. The barista championship is at the heart of the event, and around it there is a wider program of talks, workshops, exhibitions, tastings and networking.

Why it matters
Ecuador is better known for its cacao than its coffee, yet its specialty coffee scene is growing fast. Ecuador Coffee Masters was created to build a space of excellence for specialty coffee in Ecuador and Latin America, together with allied brands from the industry. We want to recognize local talent, inspire a new generation of coffee professionals and bring the public closer to coffee culture. Above all, we want to show that Ecuador can offer the world more than raw material. It can also offer finished products and world-class technical quality.

Who it’s for
The event is designed for two audiences. The first is coffee professionals who come to compete, learn and connect. The second is the general public, who come to taste, learn and enjoy. Admission is free, with no registration required.

What’s on the program

The championship Grand Final: 12 finalists, selected in a virtual qualifying round, compete live in five categories: The Order (six drinks in eight minutes), Latte Art, Cupping, Filter Coffee and Signature Beverage. A panel of eight judges from coffee, gastronomy and competition backgrounds will score them.
Workshops where attendees brew coffee alongside local baristas and our international guests.
Talks by producers and industry experts.
Exhibitions, tastings and brand stands from across the coffee and food industry.
An Audience Award voted by the public.
International guests

Felipe Aliaga (Peru): founder of Ciclos Café in Barranco, Lima. He works with fine-dining restaurants and hotels such as Central, Kjolle and Belmond Palacio Nazarenas.
Bruno Campos & Mario Salas (Costa Rica): co-founders of Bocanegra, where coffee meets design, and self-declared “conspirators against bad coffee.”
Jorge Chanis (Panama): gastronomer and cultural promoter, founder of La Cosecha Panamá. He was key in bringing World of Coffee 2026 to Panama, the event’s first edition in Latin America.
Ecuador Coffee Masters is organized by HUMA Coffee Lab and Toni, together with Quick Mill, Fellow, Origami and Sensitivo.

We’d love for Sprudge to cover the event, whether through a preview, live coverage or a recap. We’re happy to share photos, logos and interviews with our guests and organizers, as well as anything else that helps tell the story.
