Outstanding Design Collaboration Finalist
Onyx Coffee Lab, known for its innovation in the specialty coffee industry, and New Belgium Brewing Company, an American craft beer pioneer, have collaborated on a coffee-infused sour ale called La Folie Reserve. This sour ale combined the complex flavors of New Belgium’s wood-aged brewing process with Onyx coffee sourced from Costa Rica’s renowned Las Lajas farm.
Upon the release of this year’s La Folie Reserve by New Belgium, Onyx also released a limited edition offering of the same coffee that was used in the creation of this special beer, providing enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy the flavors that inspired the collaboration from the beginning.
The custom packaging for the beer and coffee offerings feature a thoughtful interweaving of iconic elements from both brands, with intentional foil finishes to represent the elevated nature of this special release.
