We believe the coffee industry needs a simple, easy-to-use brewer that produces amazingly good coffee with less effort, greater consistency, and better taste than the cone drippers widely used by the coffee industry today.
As professionals in the specialty coffee industry, we are looking for brewing methods that maximize extraction without sacrificing the unique tastes that the beans contain and that the coffee roaster carefully discovered.
With this goal in mind, we set out to create a brewing device that forces all water that enters the device to pass through the coffee bed. The strength of this design lies primarily in eliminating the flow of brewing water going around, and/or bypassing, the coffee bed. We have found this simple change makes for an easy-to-use brewer that produces excellent coffee.
We have been amazed by the uniform extraction, high E/Y and sweet, rich, full-bodied brews it produces! Besides the taste, which is the most important factor, the refractometer readings also confirm higher extraction yields.
