This weekend, the Amsterdam Coffee Festival returns to the Westergasfabriek. Now in its fifth year, the Amsterdam Coffee Festival is going to be chock full of coffee competitions, educational events, food, drinks, music, and just about anything else youโd need for a good time.
Like with previous years, Sprudge is a proud media sponsor of this yearโs Amsterdam Coffee Festival put on by Allegra Events, and weโll be there to see all the many, many sites along with 15,000+ of our closest friends Friday, March 9th through Sunday, March 11th. From a spectatorโs perspective, the highlight of the weekend is the many, many competitions taking place. Along with the Dutch Latte Art, Barista, and Brewers Cup Championships, The Amsterdam Coffee Festival is also the home of Coffee Mixologists, a competition featuring eight teams of one barista and one mixologist all putting their creative wits to the test in head-to-head, bracket-style battles. The winning team will take home โฌ1000 and a trip to the London Coffee Festival happening later next month.
There will also be a variety of workshops, offerings multiple opportunities for some hands-on learning. How to taste coffee, the importance of water quality, secrets from a Coffee Master with James Wise (winner of the 2017 London Coffee Masters)โthereโs a lot of learning to be had over the coming weekend.
Day passes for the Amsterdam Coffee Festival start at just โฌ15 (โฌ18 at the door), which includes a full dayโs admission, tote bag, and all the coffee and competition your little heart desires. The โฌ50 (โฌ65 at the door) VIP ticket gets you access to everything the standard ticket does as well as a three-course coffee and food pairing and a complimentary cocktail at the Tia Maria + Coffee Project bar.
