Breaking via Eater Chicago, Intelligentsia Coffee and Tea are prepping to open what will be their 5th retail location in the Windy City. Located in the Logan Square neighborhood, this new shop might be located directly next to recently renovated Logan Square Theater, and may very well be taking over in place of the allegedly soon-to-be-departed business at 2642 North Milwaukee Avenue. None of this is able to be confirmed or denied by Intelligentsia at time of publication, and is based purely on rampant Twitter speculation. Eater has more details:

Eater has learned that the popular Chicago-based coffee roaster will open up a new cafe in the heart of the neighborhood near the Logan Theater and close to Telegraph and Longman & Eagle. The cafe will open sometime later this year, but other than that, few details have been made available other than it will be “something a little different, something we’re really excited about,” according to a source at the company.

We can report with that Logan Square is one of three planned new Intelli locations in 2012, and is designed by Gensler, the architecture firm behind Intelli’s 1871 concept counter. Look for more (actual legitimate confirmed) details on this and Intelli’s other new cafe spaces on Sprudge in the coming weeks.
