Though the ceremony may be postponed, the awards roll on. With the Omicron variant of COVID-19 reaching unprecedented levels, the Good Food Foundation, bestower of the Good Food Awards, made the cautious decision to move the GFA Awards Ceremony in San Francisco from today, January 14th to March 3rd. Nonetheless, the awards themselves continued ahead, with the GFF announcing the winners of the 2022 Good Food Awards.

This is year 12 of the GFAs celebrating US-based artisanal craftspeople across 18 different categories including cider, confections, beer, honey, pickles, cheese, and chocolate. And coffee of course. From a field of 25 finalists, the expert panel of judges selected 15 winners this year, chosen for their “exemplary flavor—sweet, clean, well-developed body, balanced acidity, and phenomenal aromatics.” This has been one of the more diverse years for the Good Food Awards in terms of coffee origins; whereas nearly all Finalists originally hailed from Ethiopia, this year seven producing countries are represented in the Finals, roasted multi-time GFA winners and first-time competitors alike.

So without further ado, here are the 15 winners of the 2022 Good Food Awards for Coffee:

Acorn Coffee Club, Las Lajas – Yellow Honey, Costa Rica, Minnesota

Beanstock Coffee Roasters, Mexican Marco Cadena, Massachusetts

Cloud City Coffee Roasting, Ethiopia Lecho Torka Fully Washed, Washington
