Flood Update: A Letter From The Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea Company

Hurricane Irene hit Vermont with a vengeance on Sunday 8/28. Our town of Waterbury was completely flooded by the raging Winooski River and Vermont Artisan Coffee and Coffee Lab International were hit hard as well with hip deep water and sludge flowing straight through our complex.

As of 8/31, remarkably we are mostly cleaned up and power, internet and phone service has been restored today with few interruptions. Please know we are doing our best to reply to all your messages but please assume we lost orders placed from Sunday to Wed morning.

We hope to be up and roasting coffee in house next week starting Tuesday, Sept. 6th. In the meantime, we are roasting off premise in small batches. Due to inventory losses, our current menu is limited. We cannot supply any retail packaged orders until new packaging supplies arrive next week.
