1924 Mahlkonig Merch collection – Celebrating 100 years
Rarely do we encounter such a unique and auspicious opportunity as the one presented to us: the task to introduce to the market a merchandise collection commemorating an extraordinary milestone. Entirely conceptualized in-house, our designer exhibited a remarkable degree of intentionality in capturing the essence of Mahlkonig’s unparalleled legacy of craftsmanship, which has been instrumental in establishing our brand as the epitome of trust and excellence.
In the words of David Salinas, our Senior Creative Director & Designer:
“I aimed to design a commemorative collection that visually matches the pride in heritage and plain old elbow grease that quite literally built this company. The 1924 collection is intentionally comprised of elements that communicate the handcrafted approach that we at Mahlkonig take a great deal of pride in. I can’t over emphasis how much of an honor it was to create this collection. Its definitely a highlight in my 20 years of working in design.”
No detail was left unattended in the sourcing of materials; the 1924 collection proudly features tactile elements such as chenille patchwork, vintage chain-stitch embroidery, and hand-cut and sewn felt lettering. It’s worth noting that a significant portion of the collection was crafted in the great state of Texas.
In essence, the 1924 collection stands as a testament to the decades of toil and dedication that have been poured into Mahlkonig, day in and day out, over the course of the past 100 years. While the endeavor was undeniably monumental, we take immense pride in the outcome, and we are confident that you, too, will enjoy the results.
