Tamper Tantrum is coming to America! Hosts Colin Harmon (3fe) and Steven Leighton (HasBean) are bringing the live version of their “fortnightly” podcast to New York City’s Taylor St. Baristas café on Sunday, Saturday 25th. It’s the show’s first ever trip across the pond, so they’re enlisting the help of a star-studded dais to get things started on the right foot.

Tamper Tantrum live is formatted a bit differently than that of your normal live podcast taping. As their website puts it:

Invited speakers [are] asked to speak for 20 uncensored minutes on whatever topic about which they were most passionate; afterwards, Steve and Colin [will] moderate a short, healthy Q&A (and sometimes, as it turned out, an actual debate) between the audience and the speaker.

Colin and Steve have invited six speakers to take the stage for 20 minutes of unfettered coffee fury, and from the looks of the line up I wouldn’t expect any softball topics. Guest speakers include: Colleen Anunu (Fairtrade USA, SCAA Board of Directors), Jenn Chen (coffee marketer and social media personality at @thejennchen), Matt Perger (2012 World Brewers Cup Champion, Barista Hustle, Sensory Lab), Meister (Cafe ImportsOpposites Extract), Michelle Johnson (Royal & Design, thechocolatebarista.com), and Nick Cho (Wrecking Ball Coffee, Portafilter.net).
