They say there is no rest for the weary and the good folks over at Royal Coffee donโ€™t appear to have any intention of slowing down any time soon. The Bay Area green coffee importer is coming in hot this week with two developments, and the coffee roasters out there may want to take note.

First up is the triumphant return of Sourced: The Coffee Podcast. After publishing 35 episodes in season one, Royalโ€™s podcast took an 11-month hiatus, but is back with a vengeance for season two. The first two episodes of sourced have recently been released, and they all about, well, sourcing. For episode one, Junior Trader Spencer Ford joins host and Royal CEO Max Nicholas-Fulmer to discuss Brazil and how the worldโ€™s leading coffee projects for 2023. Episode two shifts to Colombia, where Colombia green coffee buyer Amanda Amato and director of education Chris Kornman are joined by Natalia Mejia Colombian coffee importer Mastercol to discuss โ€œColombiaโ€™s new wave of coffee culture.โ€

But for those who donโ€™t want to talk about green coffee but turn it brown, Royal Coffee has rolled out quite the deal. For a limited time, Royal is offering one free box of the Crown Jewelsโ€”their 22lb boxes of โ€œsuper-specialty green coffee microlotsโ€โ€”when you buy five. And not just any free box, but a box of their most expensive Crown Jewel, the double-anaerobically fermented, wash processed coffee produced by Galo Morales of Finca Cruz Loma in Pichincha, Ecuador. Consisting of Typica and Sidra varieties, the experimentally processed coffee has flavors of mango, blackberry, and lemongrass, and a box of this particular Crown Jewel regularly costs a cool $375. But with an order of five boxes, you can have it for free. Just make sure to use the code CJ1475 at checkout.

So whether you want to talk about green coffee or be about green coffee, there’s something brewing at Royal for you. For more information or to catch up on past episodes of Sourced: The Coffee Podcast, visit Royal Coffee’s official website.
