Folks on the East Coast are in full-on bunker mode as Hurricane Sandy comes barreling down. Restaurants and cafes are closing while cities up and down the coastline have been evacuated. Public transportation in NYC, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Boston have been shut down. Coffee shipments across the coast have been delayed, with the USPS and FedEx canceling services. ย Northeast Regional Barista Competition venue Bally’s is closed for the day, as a twelve foot storm surge heads straight for Atlantic City.

Attention, please bear with us as we work out the safest options for our competitors, judges, volunteers and attendees. We will be updating you as the week goes on about the status of the competitions schedule to take place this Friday, Nov. 2nd through Sunday, Nov. 4th.
