A few months ago, we brought you news of the Air helmet from Microclimate, a fully enclosed facial covering that looks as good in outer space as it does in the big board meeting. The onlyโ€”and I mean onlyโ€”possible problem with this otherwise flawless design is that there was simply no way to get coffee inside your impenetrable COVID force field.

Thatโ€™s where Covidisor comes in, an extremely stylish helmet that keeps the pandemic out, and thanks to a special straw port, lets the coffee beverages in.

The Covidisor, a portmanteau of COVID and visor (I think?), is a meant to be a replacement for mask-wearing that allows more of your face to be seen while keeping you safe from the virus. It offers many of the same features of the Microclimate Air: full head enclosure, filtration for both inhaled and exhaled air, and just good looks plain and simple. While the Microclimate Air shoots for Dystopian Minimalism, our new friend Covidisor answers a simple question: โ€œHow would Michel Gondry keep himself safe from the coronavirus armed with only a beer helmet and a fishbowl?โ€

But what the Covidisor has that puts it head and shoulders above the Air is a special swivel-mounted port on the front of the face shield that allows the wearer to consume any beverages via a straw. No longer will you have to make your face available to the outside world in order to enjoy that extra hot no foam latte. At last we can be safe, and caffeinated.

Available in eight different color options for the hard hat, the Covidisor retails for $275. And if youโ€™re not sold on it yet, this snazzyย music video by Vedraย might change your mind. Theyโ€™re walking all over a plague-ridden NYC, singing and wearing the Covidisor and just having the time of their life as though everything is fine. Everything is going to be fine…with Covidisor.
