Barista Nation Presents The Satellite Cafe At SCAA Boston!

buzzy

We would like to formally introduce you to our newest contributor, Buzzy the Bean. Buzzy is a medium-roast bean – equal parts light (usually very positive) but also has a dark side (he’s self-aware, and like a giant stuffed chicken in front of a fried chicken shack, Buzzy knows that death is a mere grinder away).

Buzzy is quite literally buzzing about all of the exciting events that are happening during the upcoming SCAA Event in Boston. Be sure to use Buzzy’s enthusiasm and non-pdf form schedules to guide your way through all of the events, festivities, and excitement.

People often ask me, “Hey Buzzy, isn’t it kind of weird that you love coffee events, since you yourself are a giant coffee bean?” And they make a good point; these coffee conferences are like a blood orgy of carnage for your average coffee bean. But not Buzzy! My editors at Sprudge.com have assured me that I’m worth far more as a journalist than I am as a hot cuppa cuppa, and besides, I don’t actually fit in most standard grinders. (I’m not Liberica, I’m just big-boned!)

There’s another great event coming up that I’m just buzzing about: the Barista Nation Satellite Cafe at SCAA Boston! You might be familiar with Barista Nation from their years of hosting innovative experiences all around the world, from San Franicsco to Paris, Tokyo to Orange County to Texas. This year at the SCAA event in Boston (April 11th-14th), the team at Barista Nation will be teaming up with a whole heap of companies to run a top-notch cafe each day right in front of the SCAA Expo entrance. There’s also gonna be thought-provoking lectures, Youtube cross posting, and a chance to try coffees from some really swell bean murderers…er, specialty coffee roasters!

Plus top talks from Helen Russel (her BNSF talk was awesome) and 2-time USBC winner Heather Perry? Pinch me! No really, try and pinch me. You can’t. I’m the dried and roasted seed of a coffee cherry.
