Sprudge coverage of the 2013 BCRBC made possible by Kaldi’s Coffee, PT’s Coffee, and Nuova Simonelli.

We’re SO excited for this weekend! Sprudge.com and folks from across the North American coffee world are invading Kansas City, Missouri for the Big Central Regional Barista Competition. Expect 3 heated days of world-class barista talent, battling it out for a chance to compete on Finals Sunday and a shot at a first-round bye in the 2013 USBC (Boston, April 11th-14th).

We’ve inspected the competitors schedule, and goodness gracious, it’s chockablock with talent. Regional champs, regional finalists, a former USBC champion, plus who knows how many untold surprises and new faces on the competition stage. We live for this stuff! You can follow along with ALL of the BCRBC action by following @SprudgeLive on Twitter.

Your Day One schedule is here. Your Day Two schedule is here.ย  We’ll have first word of the finalists the moment they’re announced on Saturday afternoon. The BCRBC edition of the Brewers Cup is also going down, presented in “silent auction” style for the first round. We’ll have a complete schedule for Brewers Cup finalists up on the site as soon as they’re announced.

For all of you that have made the trek, here’s a Kansas City dining and drinking guide we’ve put together with help from KCMO native Caitlin Corcoran. In addition to all these good eats and drinks, there’s no shortage of parties happening throughout the BCRBC weekend. You should go to all of these!
