The Barista League is back for 2024. The coffee competition started by 2016 Swedish Barista Champion Steven Maloney has announced the 12 stops on this year’s circuit. 11 countries across four continents, this year’s Barista League is truly a global affair, and they are making two stops Stateside.

Announced yesterday, January 9th, the Barista League continues its tradition of being “unlike other coffee competitions,” seeking to lower the barrier of entry and making an event available to all skill levels. To do this, they make competing completely free as well as provide all necessary coffee and equipment. No need to source those double anaerobic Geshas. The point is to test the real-world skill of the barista teams in a fun—and maybe a little rambunctious—way.
