Togo A No Go For Curtailed Coffee Cargo

Ghana News Agency, our favorite Ghanaian news agency, reports today on the shocking seizure of stolen coffee bound for the Republic of Togo:

Police at Peki-Opokuase barrier in the Volta Region on Sunday intercepted a truck loaded with 72 mini bags of coffee believed to be from Kwawu Bepong in the Eastern Region en-route through Hohoe to Togo.Assistant Commissioner of Police David Nenyi Ampah-Bennin, the Volta Regional Police Commander, told journalists that the suspicion of the police was aroused when Emmanuel Bawuah, 23, the driver of the truck and his accomplice Suleman Kumada, failed to produce a waybill and other documents to support the goods.
