How about a tv show like Hell’s Kitchen for roasters. They could compete for the chance to be Roastmaster for a start-up.

Iron Chef could be adapted too. The contestants could be required to use certain beans for a Breakfast, House, Espresso and French Roast.

Since when were “deeply ignorant” and “stupid” bad ingredients for good television? And since when did the Travel Channel fold under the Documentary Channel?

It sure beats the OCD of watching a barista competition on the tube.

As if it weren’t already awkward enough when your relatives/significant other’s parents ask: “So, um, what exactly is it that you do for a living?”

This year that question might well be followed by, “Oh yeah, I learned all about what you coffee people do. I’ve been watching Todd Carmichael hunt for coffee on the Travel Channel…”
