This Dot Matrix Printer Will Game Boy Camera Your Latte


This is a Game Boy Camera. It was released in 1998 and was an early and cheap digital camera. It took pictures like this one:

Then Nintendo released the Game Boy Printer:

And then fifteen years later Let’s Cafe by Family Mart adopted (what looks like) the same technology to print on milk foam:

People have been fooling with dot-matrix milk printers for a while, but they they all previously kind of sucked. This new technology from Taiwan looks way better, in a terrifying kind of way. We’ve entered the uncanny valley of milk foam here, people, and there may be no turning back.
