Another day, another edition of Can-You-Add-Cold-Brew-To-That?-Yes-You-Can! And for todayโ€™s installment: beef jerky. Deer Camp Coffee Roasters has created a cold brew-infused beef jerky.

There is perhaps no greater expression of the cold brew collab duality than beef jerky. On one hand, it just sounds weird. I mean, tasting like meat is generally accepted to be an undesirable quality for a coffee to possess. But a meat that tastes like coffee? Maybe thatโ€™s not as bad. Perhaps itโ€™s all just a matter of perspective.

Coffee is a frequent and often-delicious component of a dry rub for meats. And what is jerky if not the cold brew of beef? What Iโ€™m saying is, it makes no sense and yet it makes all the sense in the world. If you can pumpkin spice a Spam, I donโ€™t see how cold-brewing a jerky could be any worse.

For their jittery jerky, Deer Campโ€”who you may have guessed by the name leans heavily on the hunting-forward brand identityโ€”has teamed up with Uncle Henryโ€™s Gourmet Meats. Per a press release, they start off with a 24-hour brew of their โ€œDEER CAMPยฎ Coffee Opening Dayโ„ข Coffee Cold Brewโ€ that then gets injected into the beef that will be turned into jerky โ€œfor enhanced flavors and tastes.โ€

However you may feel about itโ€”and I have a feeling you already know which side of the weird vs. wonderful debate you fall onโ€”cold brew-infused beef jerky exists in this world and you can try some for yourself for just $8 for a five-ounce bag via Deer Campโ€™s official website. And if weโ€™re doing to do this whole cold brew everything thing, letโ€™s do it. No half measures. Iโ€™m talking a mega-collaboration between Deer Camp, sweet old Uncle Henry, and Ujjo. I need my cold brew to have coffee hot sauce in it to then infuse the jerky.

Or maybe a cascara jerky could be nice?
