We’ve told all kinds of stories this season on Build-Outs of Coffee. We’re talking about big espresso flavors in small town America, incredible mobile conversions from London to California, one-of-a-kind design dreams in up-and-coming cities, and specialty coffee’s unstoppable growth all across the planet, whether you’re in Amsterdam or Chennai, Portland or Poland. But today on Built-Outs, let’s cast our gaze to a stretch of earth about which so very much has been written, for whom concertos have been conducted and poetry opined. We are, of course, referring to the island of Manhattan; more specifically, Midtown, which is full of cool stuff if you know where to look (and can be bothered to go above 14th Street). Let’s check out a new coffee bar settling in to the neighborhood, such as it were: this is Rubber N’ Road, serving coffees roasted by The Barn Berlin.

As told to Sprudge by Gil Lavi.
