The Coffee Coalition for Racial Equity continues their work bringing more diversity to the coffee industryย with a brand new scholarship opportunity. Called the Dona Ivone Scholarship, the CCRE will be awarding a total of $8,000 to two Black coffee professionals in the US and/or Brazil, and applications are open now.

Named after Dona Ivone Botone Baziolli, a Black Brazilian woman who has spent over six decades researching coffee at the Instituto Agronรดmico de Campinasโ€”โ€œthe worldโ€™s oldest coffee research institutionโ€โ€”the scholarship seeks to help Black individuals looking to advance their coffee career through education and monetary assistance. Sponsored by Torani, the Dona Ivone Scholarship awards two recipients $4,000 each as well as free educational opportunities with Diedrich and Sindicafe Brazil.
