From the department of things you never knew you needed until you hear about them, now you canย enjoy the scents of a Dunkinโ store without ever stepping outside. Back by popular demand, Dunkinโ and home fragrance and lifestyle brand Homesickย have released limited-edition soy wax blend candles just in time for the holidays.
โAfter last yearโs response, it was an easy decision to team up with Homesick again to bring back those fan-favorite fragrances and allow people nationwide to experience Dunkinโ at home,” says Justin Unger, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Dunkinโ Brands, via press release. The fragrances include Dunkinโs Original Blendย as well as the coveted Old Fashioned Donut.ย The coffee candle has fragrance notes of caramel and cocoa chip, while the donut candle features nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. These retail for $34 and with an additional $15, come emblazoned with a personalized message on the jar.
We in the coffee industry know about the power of scent. When youโre new to coffee cupping, some of the first aromas you identify are tied to memories, like your grandparentโs bone broth or freshly baked apple pies. Homesickโs approach is to bring these memories to life through candles. The homesickness element is especially poignant this year, as many are opting to not travel for the holidays.
Customers are able to relive their favorite Dunkinโ memory or gift the candles to a Dunkinโ superfan. โWhen we first started working with Dunkinโ to create this collection, we immediately bonded over our shared passion for putting a smile on peopleโs faces,” says Lauren Lamagna, Director of Product Development and Merchandising at Homesick.
At a burn time of 60โ80 hours, thatโs a whole lot of memories to relive. While I donโt want to relive my high school junior year of waking up at 6 am to snag a parking spot with my best friend (and a stop at Dunkinโ), I wouldnโt mind having my apartment be filled with the scent of donuts.
These candles sold out quickly last year so if you want to snag one, head to Homesick to purchase.
