Sturm und Grunge: NPR’s Coffee Coverage Brings Angst to Seattle
A little more than one week ago, the following story aired on Seattle’s own NPR affiliate, KUOW 94.9 FM.
A resulting uproar has taken shape throughout Seattle coffee shops and blogs. A lot has been said, including one of your Sprudge.com editors being deemed “an effete hipster jagoff” on the well-read Stranger.com message board.
To clarify:
There’s plenty of good coffee in Seattle. Just not as much as in Portland, and certainly not when compared to New York or lovely, hunky San Francisco.
