Sprudge Sunday Magazine – Issue #4 (#XtremeKone Contest)
In the tradition of the Onion’s Sunday Magazine, welcome to Sprudge Sunday Magazine.
In our fourth issue we’re celebrating the #XtremeKone Contest with Able Brewing. The winner of the contest was Matt Dittemore, of Entimos Coffee, for his entry “Kone With A View“.
But our magazine cover is dedicated to “Kone Koma”, the second place winning shot from Luann Bailey. Ms. Bailey spoke to Sprudge and shared a few more details about this charmingly disturbing shot:
“We did use a real hospital room, and only had about 10 minutes max to take this photo. We had a nurse unlock a room, but made us vouch that if we got caught, we had to say we snuck in ourselves. We originally didn’t have an IV bag- but the nurse snagged one with red liquid in it for us to use the last few spare minutes we had. I then just photoshopped the red liquid a little more brown to make it seem more like coffee.”
