guts

Giulietta Carrelli of Trouble Coffee in San Francisco has done it again, opening her second location earlier this week in the Hunters Point neighborhood. Located at 1370 Yosemite, this second location is even smaller than their original lilliputian locale in Outer Sunset, and serves up the same signature combo of toast, fresh coconuts, and Intelligentsia coffee.

Fiercely independent, and very much set to its own frequency on the proverbial radio dial, Trouble Coffee & Coconut Club is a personal favorite for Your Sprudge Editors whenever we’re in San Francisco. Maybe it’s the trek to Outer Sunset, maybe it’s the punk rock sticker adorned La Marzocco Linea, but there’s something so charmingly scruffy and engaging about spending time at Trouble. Their new cafe in Hunters Point serves a drip coffee French roast from Intelligentsia – which Trouble has named “Guts” – and a Peru CENFROCAFE espresso, called “Honor”.

Honor and Guts, coconuts and toast, a Dead Kennedy’s cassette tape on the janky old stereo…Trouble rules. Learn more about Trouble on their batshit crazy website and check out this interview with Giulietta Carrelli in Edible SF.

Trouble Hunters Point is open Monday – Friday and located at 1370 Yosemite.
