Probably my fav thing i read was a one-liner from Chris that jumped out and slapped me in the face. "Creating customers for coffee" vs just creating coffee for customers. I'm gonna use that one!

Despite the lousy serving pots kept on heat the coffee brewed in the Fetcos was far better than any of the handmade stuff (with the noteworthy exception of one superb Yergacheffe from Stumptown). For 400 people wanting a (full) cup of coffee (the situation at SCAA( it's the right tool for the job.

On the other hand, if you want to wait 6 minutes to drink a couple of ounces of tepid drip made from under-roasted beans you just had to stand in line at any booth.
