Horror Behind the Laptop: Minneapolis Man Arrested For Child Porn in Coffee Shop

Everyday, your coffee shop fills up with regulars and unknowns alike, each perched peerless behind the pale blue glow of their laptop terminals. Are they running game on Facebook? Are they writing some stupid coffee blog? Or are they perverted felonious waste-dross excuses for humanity? It was most certainly the latter case at a Minneapolis coffee shop last week:

A 47-year-old Minneapolis man was charged Friday with sharing child pornography at a downtown Minneapolis coffee shop.

The man, Ivan Wayne Tencate, was arrested Thursday, said FBI Special Agent E.K. Wilson.

According to Wilson, undercover FBI agents made contact with Tencate, who was using the screen name “iten 10″ and sharing child pornography using a wireless IP address associated with a coffee shop on 3rd Avenue S. in Minneapolis. Subsequent surveillance identified the user as Tencate, the FBI said.

    This was at the shop I work at downtown. It was pretty nuts, cops and some others were in the next day for a few hours taking our security camera footage and wireless internet records or something like that.

    The week before, Best Buy was in to film a commercial or something. It was an interesting couple of weeks!
