Darn Good Video From Cartel Coffee Lab

By 13 December 2011

Don’t you just love effective, artful specialty coffee marketing? Videos like this one make us want to laud the companies that produce them, which in this case is Cartel Coffee Lab, of Arizona. Cartel is one of those roasters that we’ve heard about off and on for the last few years, but don’t usually get to try – and unless you get down to Arizona regularly, you probably can’t find it where you live, either. The above video inspired us (it’s really a pretty great video) to check out the Cartel Coffee website, where we then learned a couple of pertinent things:

Did you know Cartel has four locations? That’s kind of a lot! They’re in Scottsdale, Phoenix and Tempe, which from we can tell are all geographically kind of the same place, and they also have a location in Tucson, which is a ways south from Phoenix / Tempe / Scottsdale / whatever you want to call it.

Did you know Cartel has a subscription service? It’s all run through Paypal, it doesn’t cost a lot, and they have weekly, monthly or bi-weekly options. Subscription services rule.

We would have never known any of this, much less featured it on our website, had it not been for Cartel’s excellent marketing film. Clearly we love this stuff – and we want to see more. Send us yours at marketingvideos@sprudge.com and we’ll continue running our favorites on the site, all leading up to a newly formed Sprudgie Awards category honoring the best marketing videos in specialty coffee. Send us yours now!

  • Now that video games are a lot more complicated then they were back then, it is a quite ordinary for video game designers to develop heat codes to help you gett
high scores whilke playing the game. Unfortunately, you can’t just skip the hard parts and live the farmer’s dream, but that’s what
makes the game fun. If you would like to try a game
out befkre purchasing it, get it from your local library.

For some people in the industry, this might inspiring. But I gotta tell you — this, like most coffee videos, comes off primarily redundant and navel-gazing.

And what market research have you done to support your comments? The fact that they have four locations proves they have a winning business plan. It is their philosophy and how they serve their coffee that consumers taste in the cup at the end of the day and it is this which makes the consumer return. The consumer votes with the dollar not with baseless diatribes.

swag, quit being a hater. After watching this I wanted to post to my facebook wall, so my friends and family can understand the conscious thoughts that go through my head everyday. This video demonstrates the process of serving a good shot in (I think) an accessible and enlightening way, without being overly snooty(Did you say snotttay?) and scientific.
P.s. hater-ade is not a proper palate cleanser
