Here’s your chance to win a piece of Milwaukee history. Colectivo Coffee is auctioning off its collection of weathered, vintage, and delightful Alterra Coffee signs for charity this season. Alterra Coffee Roasters renamed their Milwaukee-based chain of cafes back in August. There are ten signs up for grabs – fetching at time of printing $200-$600 with six days left in the auction.
โWe thought this was a fun way to celebrate our history with Milwaukee and help give back to a worthy cause within our community โ especially this time of year,โ said Scott Schwebel, director of marketing at Colectivo.
The sale will be hosted via the OnMilwaukeeโs Shop Local Marketplace, powered by Okanjo, a social e-commerce company. Shoppers will be able to buy and browse two ways: fixed bid and live auction. Multiple signs and letters, that once hung from the walls of Alterra cafes are being sold at prices ranging from $99-$500. Four of the most recognizable pieces โ from the Lakefront, U.S. Bank, Prospect Ave. and the Humboldt Blvd. Roasting facility โ will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
The collection of signs is said to be very large and extremely heavy. A perfect gift for the sign-collecting caffeine freak in your life!
