Sad, strange news out of Boston, as a substitute shop teacher Chad Wunschel admitted to police that he poisoned his own coffee with graffiti remover to get attention after breaking up with his girlfriend. Though we here at Sprudge.com kind of admire this Van Gogh-esque display of noble self-destruction, the Sprudge.com “Coffee Schmuck of the Week” award was created for precisely this sort of news event.
Chad Wunschel, 27, faces a charge of filing a false police report when he said he unwittingly took a sip of a tampered iced coffee around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the welding shop at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School.
