A shocking case of Mr. Coffee embezzlement from Central Florida:
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said the victim hired Cynthia Cardenas, 44, to help around the house, but fired her after a week because she was doing a poor job.
The victim told investigators he then noticed some of his property was missing including about $950 worth of jewelry and a coffee maker.
Cardenas claimed the jewelry was a gift, telling investigators the man was infatuated with her.
