Coffee Common, LLC has announced its very first event outside of the TED Bubble: taking over WBC Champ Gwillym Davie’s Prufrock Coffee for a day. The event promises:

We plan to offer a high level of engagement where you can learn how to choose and brew great coffee at home, listen to short talks from industry professionals, and enjoy great conversation over some amazing coffee.

Rumor has it there will be a chance to get some Coffee Common swag and see Brent Fortune sing a bit of Lady GaGa karaoke in honor of the new World Barista Champion, Alejandro Mendez.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

When is anyone going to actually acknowledge that Coffee Common exists solely because Intelligentsia’s team was beaten down last year by TED and that the company cannot currently afford to maintain TED events on their own?

More important than TED – when is Intelli going to open a proper Ecco Caffe shop in San Francisco! Meaning have you looked into the reason why Intelli is in trouble internally?

The first non-TED event is just a bunch of guest baristas on their way home from the second TED event. What a joke.

TED was a big mistake. I’m not sure why they keep reminding everyone of that.
