When the location of the first Qualifying Event of the 2023 US Coffee Championships season was announced to be Baltimore back in November, the second stop did not yet have a place nor date and was scheduled to be somewhere in the Mountain West region. Now, the mystery location has been revealed and the US Coffee Championships are heading to Denver in March.

Confirmed yesterday, January 12th by the US Coffee Championships, the second and final Qualifying Event will take place at Wings Over the Rockies: Exploration of Flight Center at Centennial Airport in Englewood, a southern city part of the greater Denver metropolitan area. Happening March 3rd through 5th, the eventโ€”like with the Baltimore Qualifiers before itโ€”will feature all six disciplines: Barista Championship, Brewers Cup, Coffee in Good Spirits, Cup Tasters, Latte Art, and Roasters Championship.

Per the announcement, four of the eventsโ€”Barista, Brewers, Coffee in Good Spirits, and Roastersโ€”will be comprised of an even split of competitors who earned their spot via preliminary rounds and those selected as part of a weighted lottery. Top performing coffee professionals from all six disciplines will then join the winners of the Baltimore Qualifying Event to compete for it all at the national stage of competition, the US Coffee Championships, happening later this year in April in Portland.

Nominations for the weighted lottery for the Denver spots is open now through Tuesday, January 17th, with those selecting being notified the following day. Spectator tickets for the event are available for $25.
