barista-camp-2016

Get ready, European baristi, becauseย Barista Camp 2016ย is coming to Estonia in October. That may seem like a ways away, but tickets are already on sale this week at theย World Of Coffeeย in Dublin.

Put together by theย Barista Guild of Europe, the four-day barista extravaganza will take place at theย Estonia Resort and Spaย in Pรคrnu, just off the fabulous Gulf of Riga. Participants will be able to choose from a host of curricula based upon what skills they are looking to hone; there are foundational courses in barista training, brewing, sensory, green coffee, and first time ever, roasting. There will also be intermediate tracks for barista, sensory, and green coffee.

If you arenโ€™t able to make it to Dublin to reserve your spot in person, tickets areย now available via the BGE website.ย The BGE is offering early bird pricing on tickets until August 1stย at the rate of โ‚ฌ475 forย SCAEย members andย โ‚ฌ550 for non-members.

There are only a limited number of spots on any given track, so reserve your spot sooner rather than later to make sure you can get your desired curriculum. For more details, head to the Barista Guild of Europeโ€™s siteย here.

In addition to being educational and good for one’s coffee career, these events are really a lot of fun. Who knows, you couldโ€”like an unnamed Sprudge co-founderโ€”get together with your future spouse at Barista Camp, in which caseย โ‚ฌ475 is a small price to pay for love and happiness.
